About Dr. Keith Loop, OMD

Headshot of Dr. Loop

A Life’s Work in Healing & Medicine

Dr. Loop commonly works with individuals experiencing complex or layered patterns involving disrupted regulation across multiple systems, including:

  • Persistent or recurrent pain and movement dysfunction
  • Neurological, stress-related, and autonomic patterns
  • Digestive, immune, and inflammatory conditions
  • Hormonal and reproductive regulation challenges
  • Fatigue, recovery difficulty, and energy-regulation patterns
  • Sleep and circadian imbalance
  • Headaches and chronic tension patterns
  • Metabolic, respiratory, renal, cardiovascular, and skin-related concerns requiring a broader integrative perspective

Dr. Keith Loop, OMD is a licensed Doctor of Oriental Medicine whose clinical work reflects over 28 years of dedicated experience in the healing arts and more than 10 years of doctoral-level clinical practice. His practice is rooted in Classical Chinese Medicine and informed by a broad integrative medical background, allowing him to approach health as a dynamic, interconnected system rather than a collection of isolated symptoms.

Dr. Loop has been developing an integrative approach to healing for more than two decades. From 2000–2010 in Denver, he founded Profundus Medical Massage, where he was an early practitioner of clinically focused medical and therapeutic massage, and later created Sattva Urban Day Spa, integrating Ayurveda, Panchakarma-inspired therapies, yoga therapy, and individualized and group wellness programs. These formative years in hands-on, whole-person care laid the foundation for his later doctoral training in Oriental Medicine and the individualized, responsive clinical approach he practices today.

The current foundation of his work is The Healing Loop™ Framework– a clinician-developed model that guides diagnosis, treatment selection, and long-term care. This framework emphasizes regulation, timing, refinement, and continuity, supporting healing as a responsive process that unfolds over time.

Professional Orientation & Clinical Philosophy

Dr. Loop’s clinical orientation reflects the scholar–physician tradition of Classical Chinese Medicine, where careful diagnosis, ethical restraint, and clinical discernment guide every decision. His work emphasizes root-level regulation while remaining attentive to presenting symptoms and quality-of-life concerns.

Rather than applying standardized protocols, care is shaped through ongoing assessment and response. Treatments evolve as the system responds, with an emphasis on internal medicine, pulse diagnosis, and individualized herbal formulation. When appropriate, Dr. Loop collaborates thoughtfully with conventional medical providers to support integrated care.

The breadth of his training spans Classical Chinese Medicine, herbal medicine, naturopathic and Ayurvedic medicine, manual therapies, therapeutic movement, energetic medicine, and integrative medical sciences, and supports a systems-based clinical perspective while remaining firmly rooted in Classical Chinese Medicine and sound medical judgment.

Advanced Chinese Medicine & Herbal Training

(Primary Clinical Emphasis)

Chinese herbal medicine serves as the internal medicine core of Dr. Loop’s clinical practice. His advanced training includes:

  • Postgraduate study in Classical Chinese Herbal Medicine and Qigong in China
  • Extensive pulse diagnosis mentorship with senior clinicians
  • Advanced herbal formulation for complex, chronic, and multi-layered conditions

Clinical focus areas include:

  • Digestive and immune disorders
  • Hormonal and fertility-related conditions
  • Chronic inflammatory and autoimmune patterns
  • Neurological and stress-related conditions
  • Oncology support and recovery care (adjunctive)

Herbal prescriptions are precise, conservative, and refined over time, avoiding excessive or indiscriminate formulations in favor of thoughtful, targeted medicine.

Medical Qigong & Self-Cultivation

Medical Qigong forms both a clinical and personal foundation of Dr. Loop’s work.

  • Formal Medical Qigong training through doctoral studies
  • Primary practice: Jin Jing Gong (Tendon & Channel Qigong)
  • Lineage-based mentorship with senior clinicians and scholars
  • Daily personal practice, weekly instruction, and participation in over ten long-form retreats

Clinically, qigong is prescribed to:

  • Support nervous system regulation and recovery
  • Improve posture, breath, and resilience
  • Encourage patient participation in sustainable healing

  • White Lotus Foundation — Certified Yoga Teacher
  • ParaYoga — nine years of personalized study
  • Yoga therapy and Ayurvedic yoga studies
  • Advanced training in Panchakarma and Ayurvedic medicine

Ayurvedic principles inform constitutional understanding and integrative synthesis, while remaining secondary to Classical Chinese Medicine in clinical decision-making.

Integrative & Complementary Medical Studies

Additional studies include Western herbalism, homeopathy, neuro-emotional techniques, cranial fluid dynamics, and pulse-based diagnostic refinement. These tools are applied selectively and conservatively, always in service of clear diagnosis and sound medical judgment.

Professional Ethos

Dr. Loop is known for clarity, restraint, and precision in care. He avoids unnecessary complexity, excessive supplementation, or frequent changes in therapy, recognizing that elegant medicine is often the most effective and most economical. His approach emphasizes doing what is most appropriate at the right time, rather than simply doing more, recognizing that precision, timing, and thoughtful sequencing are often the foundation of lasting healing.

He believes long-term healing depends on trust, consistency, and collaboration, particularly when care intersects with conventional medicine.

Dr. Loop’s path to medicine was shaped by personal experience with chronic illness and recovery, alongside a lifelong commitment to ethical practice and self-cultivation. He approaches medicine with humility, discernment, and respect for the body’s innate intelligence.

He is honored to serve individuals seeking thoughtful, grounded, and sustained care.
